--snip--

Sadly, my generation has spawned self-loathing Americans who actually believe that this country is evil. They have neither respect nor love for this nation. Rather they are being taught by today's academic community that America and its institutions should be held in contempt.

Leftist indoctrination of the nation’s youth was also our parents’ headache in the late 60’s. Except the kids who veered left grew up and never overthrew anything. They just went into journalism and education. And the beat goes on...

So leave already. It's not like East Berlin, our border is wide open.

One such is professor Pianka of the University of Texas who tells his students the world could do with a good dosing of ebola to kill off 90% of mankind. With what UT turns out, it wouldn't surprise me if a few sicko libs did exactly that.

I listened to rush yesterday when a caller complained of us oppressing Iran and thats why they hate us. He sounded young, perhaps twenties, and I was astonished at his stupidity. He obviously knew nothing of history but swallowed his commie professors lines like a baby chick.

why do people think this way. They can't comprehend how someone could hate you unless we did something to them first.

Of course I talked to our 20 something waitress the other day. She told me she didn't listen to much music, just talk radio. I asked her "like Rush and Hannity?"

"Yes" she replied.

"Are you a Republican?" I asked

"Yes" she replied.

"So you're voting for Hillary?" my friend joked

"Yes" she answered and was very serious.

Ignorance is bliss.

Meh, I say dissent is what America is about. I suppose you could have said the same thing about our side back when we were impeaching Clinton.

That’s the beauty of America. You have the right to disagree. That’s what truly separates us from the Islamofascists.

You have the right to disagree.

Maybe, but on FR only about some things.

Remember when you studied biology and learned about imprinting?

Yes, from the so called education received here in the States. We need to get rid of NEA, and tenor and completely revamp the education received in schools. Require history, geography and civics with Reading, writing and arithmetic.

I graduated from a public school about 10 years ago and went to public schools for my entire pre-college education. I don’t remember any sort of anti-American instruction going on in history class while I was there. Either the problem isn’t as acute as some people make it out to be, or schools in notoriously blue Minneapolis aren’t suffering from the same liberal bias as those in the rest of the country.

Quite a few moderately conservative women that I know are voting for Hillary. Don't underestimate the appeal to women of a woman running for the White House.

Or it may be that you were subjected to it for so long it seemed normal.

Just a thought.

Possibly, but I read "The People's History of the United States" in college and I remember thinking that it was much different and more negative than what I'd learned in HS.

Those of us who grew up during the 50’s and 60’s have an advantage over those who grew up in the 70’s and 80’s. Our male teachers for the most part were veterans of either WWII or Korea. Those who followed us were taught by the campus protesters, and communists radicals. That’s the differance in generations.
