You have my apologies. I certainly didn't intend to cause you any pain.
She was a Cocker Spaniel. It's kind of ironic because when I got my first Cocker, who was Bashas dad, the vet warned me 'they don't live very long. 7 or 8 years max.'
Well old Bear lasted 14 years and Basha made it almost to 18.
The blessing of it all is that I got to have to very nice dogs for a very long time. And they're both within eyesight of each other now, one under each flower patch.
If I close my eyes a bit I'm sure I'll be able to see them chasing each other around just one more time snapping at each others ears wearing those goofy Cocker Spaniel smiles.
And I'll be very, very grateful for that.
