Al Gore was in Oslo a week ago giving his 'inconvenient truth' global warming speech to a crowd that included the chairman of the Nobel Peace Prize committee.

Critics are saying he was there to lobby the committee because he has been nominated for the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize

Norwegian members of parliament Børge Brende and Heidi Sørensen, who joined in their nomination despite political differences, (Heidi Sørensen is a member of the Socialist Left Party), jointly say that global climate is a fight for peace.

He’ll get it. The nobel committee is very predictable these days.

I say let him have it. The “kick-in-the-leg” prize for anti-americanism (otherwise known as “peace”) has become a total joke anyways.

If the Gore effect kicks in...it’ll probably snow in Stockholm the day he gets the Prize.

There’s no doubt in my mind that he’ll win it. That’s just the state of things right now. Pathetic.

Yep.

This will then be another way to step up to the Rat presidential race. Most likely agreeing to be Obama’s
VP.

He almost became president. It’d be funny if he almost got the Nobel peace prize.

Give it to him. It’s a useless award that’s been handed out to people pushing the liberal agenda for years now. I mean Jimmy Carter was awarded one for selling his country out so why shouldn’t Algore? These days winning a Nobel Prize means being an anti-Western, anti democratic slimeball !!!

I agree. He'll fit right in with such luminaries as Yasser Arafat, Kofi Annan, Jimmy Carter, and the fraud Rigoberta Menchu.

The terrorist Yassar Arafat got the Nobel peace prize. So the lunatic Algore might as well get one too.

Mr. Sacrifice now using his Gulfstream to selfishly lobby for an award. What worthless, hypocritical scum he is.

Hands down, he will win the Prize. The question really is: 'What's next?'

I hope he uses it to launch a third party (Green as speculated?) candidacy to go after the WH.

A joke told that USED to be told only in radical conservative circles had one guy walking up to another and asking “Did you hear that Bill Smith won the Nobel Prize?”

“Really? I didn’t even know he was a communist.”

Jimmah doesn’t want him to get one. It would diminish his, not that his or any recent ones mean a damn thing.
