Is it possible that the longest running show first hit the airwaves in 1968 and ended with the star’s passing in 2003?

A kids’ show whose host always took off his sweater after coming into the house, and who was an ordained minister?

Who took us to the neighborhood of make-believe, where we visited King Friday and Queen Sara?

All great answers, and it seems we have determined that the great family programs are the ones that stand the test of time.

Sesame Street also has spanned 5 decades. How cool is that!

I think Meet The PRess holds the title of longest running TV show (on TV since 1947).
