As someone who has three degress from there may I suggest a modification? The real problem at Duke (and many many other universities) are people like Brodhead, Burness, Moneta and the Gang of 88. Cut out the cancer and leave the healthy parts and Duke will be just fine.

I agree. Brodhead and the gang of 88 are the problem at Duke. And they need to be careful regarding dealing with Durham whose citizens chose to elect Nifong.
