"Nappy hair" all by itself shouldn't bother anybody. It's the
entire context of Imus' comment that has him in the fix he's in.
This isn't the first time he's uttered such things. He's got a long history of it.
Imus lost a lawsuit against him for slandering my favorite local talk radio host's wife.

Anyway, the "Nappy hair" part of it reminded me of this controversy from a while back.
