What you are forgetting is that they only find a very small percentage of people who are in a gay lifstyle past the age of 50 or 60 it is a very low percentage.

What you're forgetting is that if this study is even halfway accurate, it's because they die before they get old enough. That is the whole point here.

So if it's a low percentage, as you say, past the age of 50, it's probably because they die young in large numbers.
