Another gloomy assessment is that I cometimes consider Chirac's almost total panic over our invasion into Iraq, and begin to think that perhaps Chirac's government knew about 9/11 ahead of time and kept it secret.
Sometimes I need 20 tons of tin foil.
I don’t think you have “tin foil” thinking at all, Miss Marple.
Regarding Chirac...we know that Putin said he knew that Saddam was gunning for Pres. Bush...even though the dems insist there was no reason for the US to be worried about Saddam and Iraq...
There IS something suspicious about the way the French acted in the days and weeks during the voting at the UN.
Plus, after watching that special on Sandy Berger, we now know that the 9/11 Commission didn’t even know about his thievery...and therefore about the papers and evidence he stole...so there is no telling what THEY didn’t find out..or did find out and not tell anyone.
That Flight 800 and the Oklahoma City investigation, or lack of investigations are still hangovers from the Clinton Administration that have never been explained.
As far as what Hoyer did, there is NO good reason for him to meet with one of the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, NONE, PERIOD, and to meet with them TWICE in one day...and it just now coming out?
There is no reason NOT to be suspicious about why he was there, and what he did/said.
I won’t even go into Pelosi..it has all been said.
Well, after we invaded, we discovered all that evidence about French arms sales (in violation of the embargo) and the kickbacks Saddam made, in the oil for food scandal. Also, Chirac might have been concerned about more evidence coming out on how Saddam financed Chirac's party (the Rally for the Republic) when it was getting started. Also, it came out how the French oil company Total induced Saddam to slaughter the marshland Shiites and dry up their land, in order to make things safe for oil exploitation. There are reams of documents that haven't been translated yet. One thing about dictatorships, they keep good records.
