Amazing how things like this get ignored by the DBM:

“But the “will of the people” isn’t set in stone. Persistent signs of success in Iraq could revive a will to victory, just as a run of bad news sapped the public’s patience. Even when they are discouraged, Americans are not comfortable with the idea of simply bugging out and leaving Iraqis to deal with whatever mess we leave behind.

A new survey by the research group Public Agenda shows seven in 10 respondents favoring withdrawal but about 60% saying that the U.S. has a moral obligation to the Iraqi people. We doubt if most would consider that obligation met if we were to leave the Iraqis with no effective government and with a war zone for their capital.”

Ah, yes....but you won’t find anyone at the alphabet networks quoting that.

They have their cutsie reporters in Baghdad, in the Green Zone giving only body counts and how many suicide bombers there were that day.
