What we are seeing out of the DEMs is what we all already knew about them and their ilk. That a segment of the GOP based foolishly stayed home last November (over a few domestic issues) and put those issues over the WOT (while we have soldiers on the ground fighting the enemy)....speaks volumes about our own base.

That in this time in history the GOP base could not stay unified.....that we abandoned our soldiers to the ilk of the DEM leadership and the mocking (and gleeful reporting of defeat) by the MSM is terribly sad.

Sure the WH and RNC have been inept over the past 3 years regarding PR for either the WOT or the economy......but our base still knew we had soldiers in harms way...and what the ilk of the DEM leadership is...

Amen to everything you said. The incredibly irresponsible and extreme actions of this Congress show the folly of those among the base, esp. those here on Free Republic who claimed “It doesn’t matter who controls Congress.” I think the way this Congress has acted to kiss the rings of our enemies and to implement a policy of surrender in Iraq PROVES that it does indeed matter who controls Congress and that it does matter that we vote.
