” I’m a conservative, a rational one. That makes me a minority on this thread I guess.”

Yes it does make you a minority, because conservatives don’t vote for liberals.
Rudy has in admitted that he’s no conservative, so why do you try to make him out to be something he isn’t? Maybe it’s time for you to face the possibility that you aren’t the conservative you once were.

“Rudy ain’t a lib.”

Apparently, you haven’t been paying attention to his record. Rudy is a liberal, and he’s made it clear that he doesn’t need the support of conservatives. Since I’m a conservative—he isn’t gonna get it. So, if you are a conservative—why are you supporting him?

Oh, and did I mention that conservatives don’t vote for liberals?

Sorry, it’s just not rational to claim that Rudy Giuliani is a liberal. Moderate Republican, perhaps, on some issues. But he’s been conservative on crime, conservative on taxes, and conservative on the single most important issue facing America, the war on terror.

He’s come out in support of the Hyde Amendment and he says he’ll appoint the same kinds of judges that Bush has.

This does not spell “liberal,” except maybe in the warped fantasies of extremists.
