Nancy Pelosi Should Resign (by a former Dem Councel to House Judiciary)
The National Ledger ^ | April 7, 2007 | Jerry Zeifman

Posted on 04/07/2007 12:26:59 PM PDT by FairOpinion

Nancy Pelosi has persistently violated her duty to exercise her speaker powers in accordance with the Constitution and the current "106th Congress House Rules Manual" (House Document 106-320). In short, she has fostered what is known as "tyranny by the majority" — and violated House Rules that give her the duty to maintain order, civility, and decorum, and to foster "comity" (a word rarely used these days, meaning "mutual respect").

She also denied a request by President Bush (who has primary constitutional authority over the conduct of foreign policy) that as the third-highest official of the United State she not make an official visit to Syria, which our government has officially declared to be a "terrorist state."

On a high profile televised visit to Syria, she conferred with President Bashar al-Hassad.

.....

The prior history of Democratic Speaker Jim Wright is now being repeated by Nancy Pelosi — which forced Wright to resign.

Anti-Sandinistas and Contra hardliners became incensed when they learned that Speaker Wright had secretly sat in on a meeting between Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega and Cardinal Miguel Obando y Bravo the Catholic leader being asked to mediate the peace. The Washington Post wrote "[Wright's] approach marks a dramatic shift in the running of the House and in the role of the House speaker as Washington's No. 1 Democrat."

In the end Jim Wright resigned.

In my view, the longer Nancy Pelosi remains our party's leading spokesperson the more her penchant for political warfare and non-compliance with Jefferson's "Manual" will enhance the chances of Republican control of Congress and/or the White House in 2008.

She will serve our party and the nation best by resigning.

"Jerry Zeifman is a lawyer turned author and formerly served as Democratic Counsel of the House Judiciary for 17 years. He has recently published "Hillary's Pursuit of Power." For his other books and articles go to his Web site, Jzeifman.com."

Highly recommend reading and bookmarking the article, full of specifics and facts of the Dems treachery -- and this is written by a prominent Democrat!

NOTE TO EVERYONE: The Dems are the real enemy of the country, not just of the Republicans/conservatives. Elections have consequences and the focus should be on defeating the Democrats and keeping them out of the White House.

Also, very highly recommend reading this:

Amir Taheri: What Pelosi Stands For (Pelosi doctrine and consequences — “must read”)

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1813369/posts

A few excerpts:

“The Syrian regime, which had been thinking of bowing to international pressure, is now reassured. All it has to do is to wait until Pelosi’s party takes over the White House in 2009.” — said a Lebanese minister — he gets it!

The Pelosi Doctrine opposes the use of force, even against obnoxious anti-American regimes. Throughout her tour, Madame Speaker made it clear that she was determined to hasten the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq, with hints that the US military presence in Afghanistan would also be wound down. Pelosi’s America would fight back only in self-defense, and rejects pre-emptive war based on perceived threats.

The Pelosization of US foreign policy could plunge the Middle East into endless civil and regional wars, facilitate the return of terrorist organizations now facing defeat and ultimate destruction, and, in time, threaten US national security on a grander scale. And that, in turn, could force the US into wars bigger and costlier than the ones in Afghanistan and Iraq that Pelosi regards as mistakes. “

What a pity.

We know what the criminal and lawless liberals are all about. The real tragedy here is that there is NOBODY in Washington with the guts and patriotism to stand up and go after this lawless pinko witch. That is where we have a real problem, and WHY the liberals continue to give the middle digit to all laws and proper behavior in our government.

NOBODY HOLDS THEM RESPONSIBLE for their criminal actions. What a sweet deal for the socialist anti-Americans that are running away with America and our freedoms.

If I recall correctly, Wright resigned not because of meddling in Central America but because of a shady book deal where purchases of his book were camouflage for improper campaign donations, especially by the unions.

The blame for this nightmare is with every Republican who sat on his/her duff on November 7th, 2006.

PUHLOUSEY has about as much evil power mongering in her buhzoobies as HARXIST.

Both want to be QUEEN of NORTHAM in the satanic globalist government.

Both deserve to be in Leavenworth. On that score, Puhlousey is a poor second but plenty of a traitor to warrant putting her there.

Don’t do it, Nancy! Hang in there! Even more trips! The GOP has only you to bring up morale.

What about the ones who voted? I’m sure they approve of Mrs. Palosi’s actions.

You can say that again!

It IS true. What is worse, the same "conservatives" who put the Dems in power, ignore the consequences of their actions and are on track to give us Hillary WITH a strengthened Dem Congress.

What a terrific article...especially because it is written by a Dem...

I hope that John Boehner and Blount and Drier take note of this...so they push for the same thing that Cheney, Lott and Gingrich have done in the past.

Thanks SO much for posting this!

Very true....but, we need to quit thinking of the past..and do what it takes to make sure the future, 2008 does NOT turn out the same way.

IF we can get the GOP in the House to take note of this...and push against Nancy...like the GOP did against Wright, it sure could help.

Yes. Nancy should be committed to an asylum and Dianne Fineswine should be impeached and imprisoned along with her husband, Leon Blum.

Patrick Fitzgerald should be available for a non-partisan investigation. I think his phone number is in the phone book. He has vast experience in identifying and pursuing wrong-doers.
