What gets me even more than Al Gore’s actual pronouncements is how many people accept his ideas even though he has NO credentials whatsoever in the area of climatology or meteorology. Didn’t he actually study for the ministry in college? If so, his formal science background is probably very limited. If a conservative dared to speak about a topic in a similar manner, he or she would be criticized for daring to offer an opinion about a topic that they know nothing about. ALGORE gets a freeking Oscar for making a documentary about a subject that he is not even qualified to speak about.

“Gore wouldn’t reply to this guy, and would give the reason that he’s not a climatologist. Only climatologists, not meteorologists, are allowed to discuss the climate, don’t cha know.”

Good one Flavius, and AlGore amongst all his other talents is assumed to be a Climatologist.

We laugh at those who believed Columbus would fall off the edge of the earth on his journey west.
The global warming loons are just as superstitious and gullible.
But there is also big money to be made behind global warming.

The downside is that any project that could potentially be perceived as being 'green' tends to get wrapped in with the Al Gore Hysteria...and when the hysteria dies some projects could die with it.

Wouldn't bother me at all. If the project has obvious merit, it shouldn't be a problem getting support for it.

If carbon credits worked then George Soros would have bought enough to put us into the next ice age.

Al Gore's most constant thoughts are:

"Yup, its true THERE IS A SUCKER BORN EVERY MINUTE!!" and

"Hey with an Oscar in my showcase and Nobel coming soon and almost the whole world swooning at my feet, this Global Warming gig is working out better than I expected!! Heck who cares about the damm presidency now, that's way too much headaches for anyone. Just look at the crap that Bubba & Bush got for it and a headfull of grey hairs"

I heard today that the Goofus Groupus in Brussels announced they had empirical evidence of global warming which would cause famine, drought, thirst and flooding. Somebody please ‘splain how the thirst and flooding thingy works I always thought it was too much water that caused flooding.

“I program and even did some fluid dynamic simulations for my engineering degree. Extremely difficult equations - Boeing only recently got to the point they could do a full airplane. Now do the whole world - for a hundred years - and add in heat transfer and chemical reactions.”

Quite true. Even the conditions under which a solution exists for some of the basic equations is a famous open problem with a big price on its head.

"With his fraud, obvious deceit, hypocrisy and pomposity, Gore has turned what was recently a psuedo-scientific cause celeb into a laughingstock that fewer people take seriously every day."

Unfortunately, the "fraud" is taken so seriously throughout Europe that UK's UN Ambassador has gotten the Security Council to address climate change as "a security threat to the world".

UK is president of the Security Council for a while. Watch next week to see how it is handled.

Beckett takes climate change debate to UN

Margaret Beckett, the Foreign Secretary, will chair the first UN Security Council debate on climate change this month after Britain successfully pushed it to the top of the international agenda.

Overcoming reservations from Russia, China and Qatar, British diplomats have scheduled the unprecedented session for April 17 during Britain’s month-long presidency of the 15-nation council.

The move is tantamount to declaring global warming a threat to global security because the Security Council deals only with threats to international peace and security.
