BERKELEY: Campus cops arrest 'Tree Otter' at Cal oak grove

BERKELEY -- After weeks of relative quiet among the tree-sitters next to Memorial Stadium, UC Berkeley police arrested a protester early this morning for trespassing.

Athena Osborn, 25, also known as "Tree Otter," was arrested for trespassing and resisting arrest at about 2 a.m. at the oak grove, where about five protesters have been living in tree houses since Dec. 2 in an effort to stop UC from cutting down the trees to build an athletic training center.

Osborn was booked at the Berkeley city jail and banned from campus for seven days,

I am a Mississippi boy, not an organic Berkley liberal diaper doper baby, but I know an organic way to remove those idiots from the trees....send up a bobcat....someone will come down in just a few minutes.

Why not? She wasn't using them anywhere else. At least I presume she was one of those at the nude photo protest for the trees last month.
