and the whole of the GOP should INSIST on it but...they won’t. They’ll wimp out. Just like they always do.
To: jazusamo
Those are big liberal papers and it is significant that they are criticizing her trip. Tip O’Neill wouldn’t have done it.
To: jazusamo
To publicly disagree with the CIC in a time of war is bad enough, but to insist to a sworn enemy leader that she represents an “alternate Democrat Foreign Policy” should call for Logan Act prosecution.

Actually, all GWB has to do is refer any interest raised by Pelosi’s negotiations straight back to Pelosi. Since she’s powerless to control foreign policy, she’ll then have the pleasant task of explaining to whoever took her seriously that she was only BSing.

So legally, she is in violation of the Logan Act, and IMHO, guilty of Treason as well.Absolutely! She undermined the Prez and the State Department with NO authority. W even told her not to go.
A Logan Act violation at best, treason at worst.

There is a one word explanation
for Pelosi’s behavior.....Power.
A cheap stunt designed not be
constructive but simply to
advance the Dems and herself.
For her, Love of Country takes
a back seat to desire of Power.

Look at the good she can do in the next year or so ... naive and stupid, it’s a powerful combination. Lots of potential.

At LEAST the GOP should demand an investigation/special prosecutor. BTW, if Pelosi did resign, who would be Speaker? Hoyer?

Really, what would it take to get MSM
to betray Pelosi?
-Pelosi hamming it up on Anti-Aircraft
gun in Syria.
-Pelosi Photo-op with Osama bin Laden.
-Pelosi wrapping herself in an Iranian Flag.
What?

I agree, there should be a call for a special prosecutor at the very least.
Who the hell is running our foreign policy now?
Pelosi or Bush?
Our Allies, namely Israel, are getting confused.
I ask again, who the hell is running our foreign policy?
Clearly, We do not know at this time, and we wont unless Pelosi gets indicted for crossing over that bright line.
Some one in the White House better get some balls and nail this woman. This is disgusting.

Don’t know who would replace her. Yes, you are right ... the GOP should open an investigatiion and give her and her party all the grief they have given others but...like I said...”they won’t.” As long as there is no backbone...the dem/libs will get away with anything they want.

Here's another blast by Zeifman, who knew Hillary during Watergate: Democratic Party "Leper" Endorses Bush
[Zeifman threatened to resign as House Judiciary Counsel if Hillary weren't disciplined for her attempts to deprive Nixon of counsel.]

but...but...but...she was only carrying messages for Pres. Bush and the Israelis. We’re supposed to ignore the fact that Pres. Bush said, “Don’t go.” The Israelis say she’s not carrying any message for them, but what would they know?

**Nancy Pelosi has persistently violated her duty to exercise her speaker powers in accordance with the Constitution and the current “106th Congress House Rules Manual” (House Document 106-320).
In short, she has fostered what is known as “tyranny by the majority” and violated House Rules that give her the duty to maintain order, civility, and decorum, and to foster “comity” (a word rarely used these days, meaning “mutual respect”).**
Agree. She was a disgrace to her office.

The leftwing media were so quick to denounce Pelosi. Hmmm....
At whose bidding, I wonder....
This feckless woman screwup isn't good news for missus clinton, (a feckless (woman?) screwup in her own right)....

... While America appears not to be ready for a female president under any circumstances, the post-9/11 realities pose special problems for a female presidential candidate. Add to these the problems unique to missus clinton. The reviews make the mistake of focusing on the problems of the generic female presidential candidate running during ordinary times. These are not ordinary times. America is waging the global War on Terror; the uncharted territory of asymmetric netherworlds is the battlefield; the enemy is brutal, subhuman; the threat of global conflagration is real. Defeating the enemy isn't sufficient. For America to prevail, she must also defeat a retrograde, misogynous mindset. To successfully prosecute the War on Terror, it is essential that the collective patriarchal islamic culture perceives America as politically and militarily strong. Condi Rice excepted, this requirement presents an insurmountable hurdle for any female presidential candidate, and especially missus clinton, historically antimilitary--(an image, incidentally, that is only enhanced today by her clumsy, termagant parody of Thatcher), forever the pitiful victim, and, according to Dick Morris, "the biggest dove in the clinton administration." It is ironic that had the clintons not failed utterly to fight terrorism... not failed to take bin Laden from Sudan... not failed repeatedly to decapitate a nascent, still stoppable al Qaeda... the generic female president as a construct would still be viable... missus clinton's obstacles would be limited largely to standard-issue clintonisms: corruption, abuse, malpractice, malfeasance, megalomania, rape and treason... and, in spite of Juanita Broaddrick, or perhaps because of her, Rod Lurie would be reduced to perversely hawking the "First Gentleman" instead of the "Commander-in-Chief." I saw Zeifman's book in a bookstore once and should have bought it then--when I went back it was gone (presumably purchased by someone else). Besides attacking Rodham and talking about the way the Democrats were determined to keep the investigation from getting into any Kennedy misdeeds, Zeifman showed that the images the public had of the figures on Sam Ervin's Senate committee and Peter Rodino's Judiciary committee were often at odds with the reality (some of the people who got good press were idiots).
I don't remember if he had anything about Fred Thompson in the book.
