Islam is a blight upon the world in almost every respect particularly in the area of intellectual achievement.

That's certainly true for modern Islam in the world since the rise of the Ottoman Sultanate circa AD 1300. However, before the Ottoman's took leadership of the Muslim world, there were quite a number of intellectual accomplishments coming from them, as anyone familiar with history can attest.

Many of the achievements attributed to the Islamic world of the past was the result of mining the corpse of the Christian culture that Mo and his followers destroyed more than original creations from Islamic thought.

Islam grew through attacking and eventually overwhelming the high cultures of the Christian middle east and the Persian civilization. It unleashed a savage horde out of the Arabian deserts and conquered through fanaticism and terror. This was gangster culture writ large based almost entirely on looting to secure the alligance of Mo’s followers. Very little spiritual insight or concern was involved.
