The Boo Radley Art Guitar
The Boo Radley has a maple/padouk hand-shaped neck/body unit. The sound box is made of Engleman spruce and padouk.
This guitar was designed to work the way a music box works when placed against a resonating surface; that is, the resonating box does not carry any of the string tension. It passively vibrates when the neck/body unit is placed against it.
The wire through the sound box holds the two parts together and drives the back of the sound box. The design is set up so that various sound boxes in a variety of materials can be used with the neck/body unit.
