Incredible!

“Miller declined to identify what companies ChemNutra supplied.”

Hmmmmm.

“Devon Blaine, a California public relations spokeswoman for ChemNutra, said Tuesday evening that she did not know whether the materials the company had sent to pet food makers led to any deaths or illnesses of animals.”

A tad stupid for a person with such a high positions. What a bunch of lies.

“A call to ChemNutra’s Las Vegas office was not returned, and a recording referred reporters to the company’s Web site.”

We all know why…they, ChemNutra, has nothing to hide. Sarc intended.

“On Tuesday evening, a locked mirrored door guarded the business, in a small office park on Durango Drive, just north of Charleston Boulevard. The door bears no sign announcing the company’s name or the nature of its business, only an address.”

Oh my goodness. Move on. There is nothing to see here.

“ChemNutra has an active business license in Las Vegas, but the company has not filed as a Nevada corporation.”

?

“The agency refused to identify who had imported the ingredient, used as a protein source.”

Guilty as charged (when the time comes…If it ever does).

“Blaine said she did not know how many people the company employs in Las Vegas.”

What a liar.

“…he worked as an investment officer at Citibank…”

That figures. Citibank is and always has been a crooked corporation.

“The FDA has received more than 12,000 complaints and has confirmed about 15 pet deaths.”

Only 15 pet deaths? Another bunch of liars.

“An employee who answered the phone Thursday at ChemNutra’s Las Vegas office on South Durango Drive said there was no one available to talk to a reporter.”

Those who can afford it left town or hiding in their mansions. The rest are hiding under their desks.

“Sundlof said ChemNutra is cooperating in the FDA’s investigation. FDA spokesman Mike Herndon said the agency does not suspect ChemNutra of knowingly distributing a bad product.”

And pigs fly.

“We have several open investigations and we have not yet begun to consider whether any compliance options would be appropriate.”

Hysterical. Does anybody know what he just said?

According to the FDA's head vet guy I saw on CNN this morning, one possibility they're looking at is that the gluten was deliberately adulterated with the melamine in order to (somehow) raise the gluten's protein content, which in turn (IIRC) would raise the price Chem Nutra could get for the gluten.

If that's what happened, I don't know how in Hades that could be accidental.
