The investigation continues to focus on contaminated wheat gluten imported from China through ChemNutra Inc. of Las Vegas.
Here is this little gem from the ChemNutra Inc. website:
The China-Source Experts
ChemNutra imports quality ingredients from China to the U.S. for the feed, food and pharma industries. We are a professionally managed, American owned company experienced in negotiating, securing and delivering ultra-competitive pricing on high-quality chemicals and ingredients from quality-assured manufacturers in China. We bridge the business and cultural gaps including all regulatory, compliance, import and transportation requirements.
We specialize in Taurine, L-Cysteine, Glycine, Vital Wheat Gluten, and Glucuronolactone, and we also handle many other ingredients.
ChemNutra imports over 4,000 tons per year, and our customers include several Fortune 500 companies.
I would like someone to tell me who is buying all the Chinese wheat gluten that an outfit in Toronto (isn't that where "Menu Foods" is HQ'd?) named "Milz International" has been going after.
That 4,000 tons a year sounds like a lot -- until you compare with the 500 metric tons a MONTH that Milz talks about.
Do some googling. Someone tell me if you can find ANYTHING on this, other than posts on a few red Chinese commerce sites and a Saudi Arabian site.
Is this "more to the story", or is it a completely different story?
