They do not profess belief in or follow Church doctrine.
There are several different churches that call themselves Lutheran, but they really have no connection with each other.
Actually I understand your aversion to calling people who have branched from your LDS basic beliefs and continue the practice of polygamy that is no longer practiced in your Church. Although the teaching is still fundamental to Mormonism and is addressed in your scriptural cannon the “Doctrine & Covenants” section 132. I do understand that there was a manifesto issued in 1890 by your Prophet which basically says...
...(excerpt).....”Inasmuch as laws have been enacted by Congress forbidding plural marriages, which laws have been pronounced constitutional by the court of last resort, I hereby declare my intention to submit to those laws, and to use my influence with the members of the Church over which I preside to have them do likewise.

I suppose you recognize why some Christians would be aversed to Mormons calling themselves Christian when the LDS Church has itself stated that all other Christian sects are actual apostate forms of true Christianity....and the LDS Church is a restoration. This so-called restoration has instituted the practice of “sacred” temple ceremonies that are required in order to receive “exaltation” into the highest Kingdom in Heaven, where you will receive a physical body, will be married, and create worlds of your own.
Interesting!
