Hey George. I could be happy if you would just shut up.

Pataki not coincidentally picked to two biggest RINOs in the field.

Sounds like he might be happier with Clinton.

Pataki lines up with scoundrels and betrayers. This is hot news.

I needed a little humor today. LOL!
Hillary would get my vote before Pataki!

Hillary would get my vote before Pataki! Not me. I would walk across broken glass to vote for Pataki, McCain or Guiliani IF the alternative was Hillary Rodham Clinton.
But this is academic. There is no way any of those RINOs are going to win the nomination. Guiliani completely destroyed his chances with again claiming that poor women must be allowed public funding for abortions. That one statement exposed him on two fronts. First it again showed he supported abortion and secondly, thought we should pay for them which is socialism. Incredible.

Agreed. Some of the anti-Giuliani extremists around here refuse to admit there is anything to recommend him. In fact, there is a lot, to anyone who watched him turn NYC around.
BUT, abortion is the deal breaker, and he has just made it plain that he doesn’t understand that. So, he has just cooked himself. Open the oven, he’s done.

Hi guys:
Didn’t Giuliani endorse Cuomo over Pataki? And yet, Pataki is still on the rudy slippery-slide down the hill? Was there some kind of quid pro quo involved? I just don’t see how a politician would overlook that level of betrayal... scratching my head

Maybe some Politicians aren’t as vindictive as most people think they should be. Rudy endorsed Pataki for two terms and went thru alot with him on 9/11. You don’t forget those things.

Right. Each candidate has strengths and weaknesses. Just because I sum them up as RINOs doesn't make them completely bad on every single issue. Guiliani and McCain would be good on WOT for example. McCain gets credit for having been a war hero and I don't take that away from him. But these guys are liberals on many issues not just a single issue and we can do much better.
On abortion it is bad enough to support it but to state that we should pay for it? That was a defining moment in Guiliani's campaign IMO.
To: areafiftyone
"Pataki: I could be happy with Giuliani or McCain" Of course you would be, all three of you are liberals.

You wouldn’t mind explaining why Hillary Clinton would be a better choice than George Pataki to get your vote would you?
I thought Mr. Pataki was a lackluster governor of New York and I think he would make an even less stellar president. But, throwing around over-the-top statements like Hillary would get your vote before Pataki...Well, I suppose you were just exaggerating for effect. Right?

It’s one of those blunders that some candidates never recover from: Makaka times 10 for a Repulican candidate to say there is a constitutional right of poor women to get taxpayer funded abortions.
What was he thinking?
