What firestorm? Imus is a pickled old man. Who cares one whit what this tired old relic has to say? It’s not cool ‘cuz the hippies are just not coming back, savvy Iman?
Nah. Just another day. This is fairly typical.
In the latest ratings, Bill Bennett's excellent and well-mannered "Morning in America" out-rated Imus by 750,000 listeners nationwide. Bennett sets a very high bar, and he beats Imus. At the same time the Imus zoo was yakking about this, Bennett was having an insightful and intelligent--and courteous-- conversation with a highly placed Washington insider, and out-drawing the sleaze. That says something good about us.
