Excellent find. Bump.
You could think that....of course you’d be wrong, but you could think it. :-)
He says this like he's proud of it. That's just incredible. He should be embarrassed and ashamed.
Is there really any such thing as “progressive taxation?”
Seems like a cruel pairing of words to me.
Thanks!
"As most of you know, I'm a liberal Democrat (pro-gay marriage, pro-choice, pro-progressive taxation, pro-equal rights, pro-environmental regulation, pro-public schools) who supported and supports the war in Iraq. As I tell my liberal friends, "Did I miss the part where it was progressive not to fight medieval religious fascists?" ...Danziger decided to post to the Web video interviews from Iraq. He was involved in a charity that sent humanitarian aid to Iraq and, as a result, came in contact with many Iraqis... I immediately went to the Internet and watched the first video, featuring a young, smiling Iraqi man. Replying to the question, "What will precipitous withdrawal produce in Iraq?" the fellow says, in Arabic, "I believe there will be chaos and more death, and all security will be lost."
Every Lib's dream (ya gotta stick it to the man, ya know).

“...pro-gay marriage, pro-choice, pro-progressive taxation, pro-equal rights, pro-environmental regulation, pro-public schools)”
I can almost understand, while I vehemently disagree, with a liberals so-called moral stance on the above mentioned homosexuality, abortion on demand, and equal rights for everything that breaths, even taxing people back into slavery, all these things have a twisted and pathetic explanation, but pro-public schools? How can anyone with any ounce of IQ find something, anything, good about the American public school system.
I think you’re missing the point. Here we have a lefty, and he supports what we a trying to do in Iraq.
From his point of view being pro-gay marriage, pro-choice, pro-progressive taxation, pro-equal rights, pro-environmental regulation, pro-public schools is a good thing. Now obviously you and I disagree with him on this, but he does support the war, and that (IMHO) covers a multitude of sins. If we lose in Iraq environmental regulations are going to be the least of our problems.
“..and that (IMHO) covers a multitude of sins.”
Sorry. Not THAT many sins.
I got the point, people listen to those most like themselves, but still...
Two words: Joe Lieberman.
One word: WRONG
