They look at Rudy as if he is the savior of the Republican party. They don't realize that the republican party is in trouble not because they held to their principles, but because they sacrificed their principles.
The Republicans abandoned the Contract with America and are now poised to literally sell their souls to the devil in order to ensure victory in 2008. They are convinced that only Rudy can win. Well, if only Rudy can win, then we deserve to lose.
