I have wondered that for a long time. There was 9/11. The train bombings in Madrid and London. The uncountable murders and attacks. The Beslan torture and murder of schoolchildren. The headchopping ceremonies that were videotaped.
The world did not rise up and eliminate the murderers. Judging from past performance, I don't see the world rising up and wiping out the fanatical murderers. I don't even see signs of any country being seriously interested in protecting itself.
I keep thinking that the next attack will surely be the last straw and the world will take steps to protect itself. But then I think that the next attack will be like all the rest. Then I wonder if a really big attack will do it. I don't think so.
Maybe a really really big attack will do it! I don't think so.
A really really really big attack? Maybe

“A really really really big attack”
What does it mean, “really big”?
10,000?
100,000?
How many zeroes to the right of the number would it take?
