Actually, they have never made fun of the muslim religion. It’s funny that even we conservatives have become so sensitized that we are praising them for even SHOWING A PICTURE OF MOHAMAD (in the superbestfriends episode), and calling them brave for trying to show mohomed buying tea.
Imagine if they did an episode of the prophet beating up his pre-teen wife. Then I’d praise them for their bravery (probably at their funeral).
As has been stated, they usually make fun of the idiots in a religion.

That was before this whole conflict came up. The episodes where they deserve praise are the one where Comedy Central censored Mohammed's image, and the later one that was, well, unflattering to Jesus. The whole thing exposed the idiocy of Muslims getting upset and the hypocrisy of our media in catering to them.

Knowing them, it's quite possible. A bunch of angry letters from Muslims would probably get Matt & Trey to try to offend them as much as possible in a later episode.
