For those who keep hearing Rudy supporters say that he’s always supported the Hyde Amendment: here’s proof to the contrary.
A recap of the FACTS I posted last night in case anyone missed it:
Dick Gephardts NARAL rating: 30% (somewhat pro-life)
Tom Daschles NARAL rating: 50% (moderate)
Rudy Giulianis NARAL rating: 100% (VERY pro-abortion)
Quoting Rudy Giuliani: A strict constructionist judge can come to either conclusion about Roe against Wade, he said. They can look at it and say, Wrongly decided thirty years ago, whatever it is, well over turn it. [Or] they can look at it and say, It has been the law for this period of time, therefore we are going to respect the precedent. Conservatives can come to that conclusion as well. I would leave it up to them. I would not have a litmus test on that.
Two-faced Rudy tries to have it both ways. He talks out of one side of his mouth to co-opt conservatives into thinking he's with them. The next day Rudy retracts or backtracks the self-same statement (he doesn't dare offend liberals waiting in the wings to get their grubby hands on the US government).
Rudy's Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde act is getting tiresome.
Poor Sean Hannity just told Mark Levin that other than PBA, Guiliani has remained consistent not changing his position on abortion. Sean is such a gentleman that men like Rudy can feed him things they know will be gullibly swallowed because Sean wants it to be true regardless of whether it is or not. I suppose that’s the definition of politician liberals like most.
