U.S. Arrests Execs in Immigration Case [Illinois]

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Executives at a Beardstown cleaning company were arrested Wednesday on federal charges that they hired illegal immigrants by arranging for them to steal the identities of U.S. citizens.

Federal immigration agents arrested Gerardo Dominguez-Chacon, the plant manager for Quality Service Integrity Inc. and Maria del Pilar Marroquin de Ramirez, the QSI personnel administrator. The charges against the two Beardstown residents include aggravated identity theft.

Authorities also have filed charges against 25 other employees at QSI, a contractor that cleans a Cargill meat-processing plant, and have arrested 11 of them.

Officials claim Dominquez-Chacon had access to several assumed identities which he provided to new employees. Authorities also accused him of providing information to illegal immigrants regarding how to obtain false identification documents, including social security numbers of U.S. citizens.

It was not immediately clear whether anyone arrested Wednesday had attorneys. A message left at QSI's headquarters in Chattanooga, Tenn. was not immediately returned.

Officials said they also have taken 49 illegal immigrants into custody. Most of QSI's work force turned out to be illegal, they said.

About 100 QSI cleaning employees worked at the Cargill Meat Solutions plant, which can process up to 18,000 hogs a day, said Cargill spokesman Mark Klein. Klein said the Wayzata, Minn.-based agribusiness powerhouse cooperated with immigration officials and is serious about following hiring laws for its 2,200 workers at the plant.

Good! May it be the first of many such arrests.

I'm shocked.

Not at the "executives"...

Shocked that they actually got busted.

So when do the Swift execs go down? It isn't like they didn't know.

And Cargill knew nothing about this nest of illegals infesting their premises? That’s hard to believe. I wonder what kind of cleaning these third-worlders did at that meat-packing plant. It makes one want to turn vegetarian.

String em up and hang em high. I have known a couple of people who have had their identity stolen and it is no fun.

Gerardo Dominguez-Chacon, the plant manager for Quality Service Integrity Inc. and Maria del Pilar Marroquin de Ramirez, the QSI personnel administrator

Those names sure sound like they may well be of Hispanic origin or such, or is it just me?

Don't hold your breath. There should have been thousands of these arrests over the last few years. These guys must have really offended someone in the administration. After all we know, as stated by our supreme leader, that we can't secure the border.

But just wait. All of these "illegals" will be "citizens" soon so there won't be any more arrests. Thank you George W. Bush and his Democrat henchmen.

When are they going to investigate Tyson’s?

I bet 25% of their workforce in Shelbyville are illegal!
