It makes me rage when 'Rats talk about the rule of law. The US Constitution is "the supreme law of the land" (Article VI) and it clearly gives legislators no authority whatsoever to conduct unauthorized negotiations with foreign governments - let alone enemy governments at a time of war. That authority is vested solely in the executive branch.
Has the White House said anything? I haven’t heard but might have missed it. The Pres. needs to address the nation or do something to condemn this.
