I heard Blair say something this morning about how things were going to graduate to a different level within the next 48 hours, should the hostages not be released.

I wonder what the "different level" was? Send a VERY stern note? There's no way that this would have precipitated any kind of military intervention.

He proved that he can humiliate the US & Britain. That the only outcry there was from the Left saying to Pres Bush and PM Blair, "Don't you dare!"
