No, you accused FR Savage listeners of "fanning the flames" against Republicans (aka, so-called conservatives such as Karl Rove), which has directly lead to physical attacks against them. Go back and read what you typed, oh delusional one.
I don't see Wiener fans DEFENDING the GOP do you? So, when Republicans are being attacked by libs, do Wiener and his fans object?
There you go again, confusing the GOP with conservatism. You just refuse to believe that it's a divided party. Unlike you, I'm much more interested in preserving the nationalistic identity of this country than defending the actions of the Republican Party. I'm on-board with the likes of Hunter, Tancredo and Gingrich, due to their strong stances on illegal immigration and national security. It just so happens that all three have an "R" next to their names. I consider these men to be more conservative than Republican, especially when compared to "fellow" Republican, George W. Bush.
“YES, but that’s not the point. The point is, Wiener attacks Limbaugh and other talkers, NOT the other way around, with the exception of Levin, who is responding to the Wiener.”
There’s no “yes, but.” That’s exactly the point.
Answer the question: Do they? Do you see anybody from the Savage threads polluting Rush, Hannity, etc. threads?
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’ve lurked those threads and I have yet to see a tenth of the thread pollution on those threads.
Does Savage criticize Rush and Hannity? Yes. Is it deserved? Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
Not saying you’re not entitled to your opinion. Just that it ends when it becomes so boorish it essentially hijacks the thread.
“The Wiener thread deserves constant punishment by the FreeRepublic community until it is obvious to ALL that Wiener is a threat to Conservatism, not an asset.”
You’re missing the fundamental difference between Conservatism and Liberalism: Conservatism does NOT demand strict, orthodox adherence to ALL of its tenets. Some of us here are fiscal conservatives, others are social.
Savage is an independent conservative—probably more reactionary than most of us here (or at least what most of us will admit). But he’s still a conservative nonetheless. And trashing him does nothing but make us look like a bunch of adolescent fools.
That said, should he tone down his rhetoric? I’ll let other people be the judge.
P-40: “look where it got us”
driftless2: “Yes deposing Hussein and the Taliban, slaughtering Al-Qaeda overseas rather than here, and no terrorist attacks on American soil since 9/11.”
Liberating 60 million people in Afganistan, Iraq...
Chief Justice Roberts, Justice Alito...
Cutting Taxes again and again and again...
Uday/Quesay...dead
Enforcing the Border and rounding up illegals MORE THAN ANY OTHER US PRESIDENT EVER before...
~But what have you done for me lately?~
Some so-called conservatives LIKE being unhappy.
“Hey RAS, how goes it?”
Same ol’, same ol’
“Dejavu?”
Yeah. I think so.
“Hey I’m innocent, I just came to lurk, okay so don’t believe me, but I’m always looking to smack down misinformation and smear attempts on Savage where I think it’s warranted.”
I know. I didn’t mean to spray fire. Just that I’m sick of all the bickering on these threads. Yet there is no real solution. Shut down one host’s thread, and there’ll be enough of an uproar to shut down everybody. And then who wins? Not any of us.
People just need to keep the peace, that’s all.
“Notice I have not defended or attacked Savage’s opinion of Pelosi’s visit on this thread, just tried to make a point about how the initiator of this thread made false statements concerning yesterday’s Savage thread.”
I know. OTOH, this is one thing I strongly disagree with Savage with...
“But hey the usual suspects again as last time, they didn’t absorb your reasoned logic back then, they won’t now. But thanks for restating your sentiments again, but how do you get through to blind hatred?”
I wouldn’t call it blind hatred. Fact, it ain’t hatred at all. Just disgust at the way fellow FReepers are systematically nit-picking at each other instead of focusing on what’s really important here.
He’s nuttier than a fruit cake. :p
“What about the Republicans that went on Sunday?”
Scumbags
“Just look at how hes received on a CONSERVATIVE forum like FR. Overly negative... Must be a reason, huh?”
Weiners not a conservative.
Look, no one cares about your semantics here. You’re wasting bandwith and boring us with this stuff. I’ve attached the link for all to see. I stand by what I said, you disagree with my interpretation of events. End of story
You are aboslutely spot on with Michael Weiner. Be careful, though. Any anti-Savage posting will bring on a rash of DU like attacks and even Free Republic management cautionary and threatening messages. It would be a good idea to have a new log on ID lined up.
“Equally represhensible, but Pelosi is the Speaker of the House, not some obscure congressman.”
Yep.
And if the terrorists can knock off POTUS and VPOTUS...

Quite an audience for just 3 guys on a thread eh? Almost as bad as Savage's #3 rating in the nation with 8-10 million CONSERVATIVE listeners. Are they all just Savage dittoheads? Wonder how Bush would do if he were a talkshow host?
Bush is carrying your water.
I mean Rush is carrying your water :)
“Bush is at the forefront of a movement to redefine conservatism so that is embraces big government.”
You mean like being able to invest your own social security payments into a personal account?
You mean like cutting taxes again and again...?
Exactly!
I have not listened to him regularly since late 1998.
If he is going that route than he has changed even more than I thought from the few times I have heard his show since then.
I do know that he was talking about and condemning the illegal immigration fiasco in the mid-90’s, long before it hit the radar screen and was really the only one cursing the federal court’s meddling with Prop 104(?) — a ballot initiative passed in 1994 that would have denied free health care, welfare, and schooling to anyone that could not provide proof of citizenship. Looking back on it 13 years later, that was probably CA’s last, best shot at becoming something other than a 3rd world craphole.
As for McCain-Kennedy or the AG candidate — heck, I don;t know — I have lived in CA for two years now and have heard Savage’s show maybe 6 times since 10/1998. Why don’t you ask him?
“Hey NYCR, have you considered inviting the Weinerites onto this thread? Maybe theyll bring their cool graphics and critical-thinking skills. ;)”
lol
"No, you accused FR Savage listeners of "fanning the flames" against Republicans (aka, so-called conservatives such as Karl Rove), "
I see confusion between ideology and party affiliation above.
"There you go again, confusing the GOP with conservatism."
...and here you are accusing me of just that.
Freakin' hillareous AGAIN!
Here is a quick lesson on ideology and party affiliation.
It's just that simple, but hey, my audience is Wiener fans, so at least I'm trying.
