I do use Flex rather than Core. It's just that so many of the mixes and things add unnecessary points, so I adapt the recipes and make my own stuff.

I think I am going to write a "101 Things To Do With Chicken" cook book! LOL!

I wonder how long this has really been going on, this wheat gluten coming into the country. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s been going on for more than just a couple months. We may never get the truth. I guess having most favored nation status gets you a free pass on negligence.

This is one of the rare cases where lawsuits actually do make sense.

CHEMNUTRA has been backpeddling from Day 1 re distribution of tainted product, re earliest date it received said product (initially December, then backpeddled to November) - now DelMonte said the Wheat was marked for HUMAN CONSUMPTION and oh joy, the FDA is investigating the DELIBERATE PLACEMENT of the “taint” otherwise known as rat poison.

For anyone who has forgotten the lessons of Ptech, please note - the “terrorists” whoever they are certainly they are anywhere they *want* to be, including within the Chinese “government”... they also have the entire food distribution blueprint to at least 80 percent of the US including the US military.

Likely this was one of their black flags run up the pole to expose where the holes are.

Why are we importing *any* food from China? Even pet food? This is nuts.

How much are our politicians and businessmen that run this country paid off to import this garbage? Surely we can produce safer and cheaper internally?

Well, I’ll just have to get my cat non-wheat food now, which is EXPENSIVE, but too bad! I’m sick of this China junk poluting everything in this country.

I highly recommend kosher S'better Farms chicken and all beef hot dogs. Its not only kosher, its 100% gluten-free.

All of this tells me melamine is not the culprit. Maybe there’s something else in the gluten.

Funny you should mention that. My brother who is very fit but has Type-2 diabetes told me several weeks before this pet food scare that he had been reading some research articles suggesting that going on a gluten-free diet in some cases that were studied caused some T-2 diabetes patients pancreas' to begin functioning normally again and even eliminated their signs of T-2 diabetes. I haven't studied it out for myself, but it's making me wonder if there is something else in the gluten so prevalent in our modern diet that could be causing so many cases of T-2 diabetes.

The company is particularly troubled that the certificates of analysis provided by the above-named supplier did not report the presence of melamine.

Hey, a certificate of analysis is that paper thingy you supply to the user to be able to sell him whatever you think you can get away with.

"I’ve heard lots of our apple juice is from China, and they have planted a vast amount of trees."

You heard right! Look at the small (1/16th" or so), usually purple ink, dot-matrix type printing on the plastic bottle (usually at very bottom or around the pouring area). It will often say "Made from concentrate from China" or "Made from concentrate Argentina or China" or some similar wording. BTW- the "Brand Name" or cost doesn't seem to matter. Speaking of "trusted brands", read the words on the lable about only the finest quality blah, blah blah and get a good laugh. We're talking $$$$$ and competition here folks, forget quality. I wonder what they spray on those apple trees in China? Scary isn't it?
