I share your disgust with the current state of FReeperland and have thought about taking a permanent hiatus — who needs the aggravation. HOWEVER, I stay for two reasons:

1.) I love my fellow DOSErs (they’re such a refreshing contrast to the Marxist-Chomskyites that I work with on a daily basis)! and

2.) Because the White House reads the DOSE, I feel it is our ‘contribution to the cause’ to provide the President and his staff with a daily source of support and encouragement!!

So ignore the rest of the FR threads, but continue coming here . . . We’re on duty until January 2009!!

I have not been posting very much lately. I am tired of the DU type of posting. I have enough problems without endangering my blood pressure. Thursday is the 1st anniversary without my hubby. I am heartbroken that he is not with us this year. I have been trying to keep busy with my genealogy work and have added about 1500 names this past week. But, at night, my feelings come to the surface.

But seriously.........I agree that we need to stay here and stay STRONG for the President.

Just think of what he's done for us. This is just a small (and fun) way to give a little back to him.

Well, if the White House reads the Dose, I would like to say, “Mr. President, do NOT believe the lie that Americans want to pull our troops out of Iraq.” That is a lie straight out of the bowels of hell. The stupid poll takers combine the folks who think we are being too politically correct in Iraq with the liberals who want America defeated, and pretend that the majority of the people want us out of Iraq. Americans want us to WIN in Iraq.

Miss Marple...please don’t leave the site. I have stopped going on any thread that is about the election or candidates.

I haven’t made up my mind..but I don’t need to be spammed or insulted to decide.

I agree with you, DrDeb. I'd be posting more on The Dose, if our business wasn't going so well. We're SWAMPED! We need an intern...no jokes. I love the FRiends I have on The Dose. I love the fact that our WONDERFUL President either reads or has others read The Dose. I really find our discussions refreshingly patriotic, on a daily basis. AND...since we have snugs, we're Internationally Fantastic!

I didn't know this.

That being the case, may the President know, that I, along with all of those I know who volunteered for both of his campaigns, continue to support him with the same affection and conviction. It is of great comfort to us to know that the President's faith and family are there to light his days, even as our voices are discounted and marginalized.
