Keith may be a lot of things but stupid is not one of them. I’ve read many, many things he’s said and he’s always impressed me as one very sharp cookie. A bit twisted and demented, no doubt, but stupid? No. Read his comments about Robert Johnson on the Robert Johnson CD anthology for example. Clapton also comments in there. I came away convinced that Keith could run circles around Clapton intellectually.

He knows classic American rock and blues music - there should be no doubt about that. The Stones stole left and right from them.

And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that either.
