The article does not say if you still have to pay the tax if you sequester carbon in trees you grow yourself and then release it while cooking.

What would happen if you open a can of soda or a can of beer during this BBQ? Would there be an additional tax for the release of CO2 trapped inside the cans?

What gives?
I bet there is more CO2 released that way than from BBQ. I know I have released my share of greenhouse gases after drinking cheap beer!
