Every Firefighter knows that a building with open steel trusses is a place you dont want to be inside when there is a heavy concentration of fire. Roof collapse is almost assured.
I thought I read somewhere that if asbestos would have been sprayed on the trusses, the buildings would not have collapsed. You read that?
I know tilt up buildings with glu-lam (wood) trusses get a break from the insurance companies vs. steel trusses.
