The 'queen of nice' goes nuts
LA Times ^ | 4-3-07 | JONAH GOLDBERG

Posted on 04/03/2007 5:13:01 AM PDT by veronica

Rosie O'Donnell's wacky 9/11 conspiracy theories should get her kicked off 'The View.'

RENOWNED metallurgist Rosie O'Donnell proclaimed on TV on Thursday that Sept. 11, 2001, was a more significant date than most of us realized. It was, in her words, "the first time in history that fire has ever melted steel."

This, of course, came as news to steelworkers, blacksmiths, firefighters, manufacturers of samurai swords and other fools who hadn't realized that steel is forged in magic furnaces using dragon breath and pixie dust.

O'Donnell made this and other profoundly stupid comments on the daytime talk show "The View," ABC's update of the ancient practice of women chattering around the village well.

The former "queen of nice" seems to think that the show is the perfect venue to audition as grand marshal for the next tinfoil hat parade. And if you visit O'Donnell's website (www.rosie.com), you'll find her application's supporting materials: all sorts of unadulterated moonbattery presented in the Esperanto of global derangement — a form of instant-message-style free verse. For example, she writes about the British sailors held prisoner in Iran:

the british did it on purpose

into iranian waters

as

US MILITARY BUILD UP ON

THE IRANIAN BORDER

we will be in iran

before summer

as planned

come on people

u have 2 c

i know u can

You may be unfamiliar with such psych-ward stylings, but I get e-mail written like this all the time. Perhaps if you believe the jackbooted thugs are at your door, it's reasonable to think you don't have time to spell out your words.

Yes: I saw that report. It states basically that the lower floors were sprayed with asbestos ,but during the construction asbestos was condemned and the upper floors werent sprayed.

I am not an expert, thats for sure but at the temperatures being put out by the heat of thousands of gallons of burning jet fuel, I dont believe the asbestos would have done the job. Heat distortion would have eventually brought down the building anyway. The building may have taken longer to come down, but it would have come down.

The asbestos would have protected the building from most fires anyone could foresee. Fires involving the Flammables contained normally in most buildings.,even a deliberately set fire using say 20 gallons of fuel. This building took a strike from an airplane that weighed many tons in itself, then that airplane was loaded with thousands of gallons of jet fuel, which formed a mist of sprayed flammable liquid, starting fires on several floors at once. We cannot know how much of the asbestos would have been knocked off the structure when the plane hit,how much of the surface area of those beams would have been exposed,by the collision.

“Tide, Pepto and Cottonelle...three staples in my house!”

Tide and Pepto-Bismal are both made by Proctor and Gamble. They succumbed to the gay-lobby years ago. I think during the Dr. Laura fiasco. They probably love rosie.

Rudy/Rosie are both pro-illegal, pro-gay, anti-gun and pro-abortion.

And of course on the most important issue of the War on Terror and on taxes, they are exactly the same??????

For my money, Paula Poundstone is the best lesbian around. Funny, and not mean.

I just got off the phone with Pier 1 Imports. Their answer to my questions went along the lines if this...

ME: I was planning to buy quite a bit of furniture from you but you air commericals during The View, in support of my country I can no longer do so. Because of Rosie I refuse to buy from the list of sponsors of The View.

Pier 1: Oh we don’t sponsor the View we just show our commercials during that time slot.

ME: Well that seems strange , put it up on your website that you do not share the views Of Rosie O or there will be plenty of people boycotting Pier 1 Imports. Please send me a letter stating that you don’t & maybe we can do business again.

Pier 1 Imports: I don’t know if we can do that but I will tell marketing.

Pier 1 Customer Relations: (800) 245-4595

Personally I don’t know how it works with air time...but until these companies get a grip & something is done about that kook Rosie I don’t plan to buy their products...I figure I am going to have lots of saved money really fast.

This person 'olesmelly', abc, and the show the view, is receiving free publicity on FReeRepublic. Being that this is a conservative website, I would think we would think better of this website and not subject this website to granting free publicity for an obvious idiot, a bias network, and a show that plays to the fringe left to have ratings. MHO

no offense meant.....
now I'm typing and giving them free publicity.....
never mind.....

That might be because the traffic will now be driven to Rosie’s own site, where people will get a full “viewing” of her looney ideas.

I e-mailed ABC corporate, but I also called them and called Disney, which owns that network. Boycott Disney and hit them in their single-minded purpose (the purse) and watch how fast they yank that witch off her soap box.
