It would have been a nicer tribute if Bill stopped saying we have failed in Iraq. It ain’t over ‘til it’s over.

Extremely good post. I rank Mr. Snow amongst the few honest ones left. My prayers for him are every bit as strong as he is a man. May God grant him and Mrs. Edwards healing.
(Is there any way to have the FR skeleton replaced with another Freepathon ad given the subject matter?}

If I'm in a foxhole, if my life depends on another person, do I want Snow or Howard Dean? I think you know the answer.Yes, we know the answer. Thanks, friend. Had not seen this.

I hope everything turns out well for The Snowman. And Mrs. Edwards and all of the folks closer to home who we all know.
(BTW I think I understand your tagline and I like it.)

I emailed Tony Snow in 2000 and he replied. Twice.
He was very personable. He had a sense of humor. He said he would use a phrase I coined--and I have long since forgot the phrase but will not ever forget how decent he can remain under fire.
That is a measure of a large person, somebody with gravitas but hold the hot air.
And that's how he'll defeat this business of recurrence.
He can stand and deliver daily before the jabbering fairies of falsehood, correct their facts and syntax, and add wit to end the refrain.
Making it our pleasure to add ten thousand interlaced prayers as back up.

When Bill is right, he is just about near perfect. The trick with his view on Iraq is to let him finish. I have never heard him say, “Iraq is a disaster End of Story”. He gives his reasons, and always backs it up with balance for the efforts of President Bush and our military.
Tony Snow is the polar opposite of Bill, I would take him home to meet my mother. My brothers would want a word with Bill...! Prayers and best wishes for Tony and his family.

Well, we have failed. Of course one could have said in December, 1944 that we had failed to defeat Germany, since we were basically stalled on the German border. Now our victory seems inevitable, but it didn’t look that way in December, 1944, to Patton’s men fighting the Saarland or Hodge’s men in the north, and who knows what would have happened if the Paratroopers had not held Bastogne.
