radical Revolutionary Guards and president Mahmoud Ahmadnejad are celebrating their successes. By a single move, they have planted a wedge in the heart of the Western alliance ranged against Iran, helped boost crude to a six-month high, as well as humiliating Britain. Now, they are considering ways to capitalize on their success by follow-up coups.

Well they should. We can count on this sort of activity to continue until the West does something decisive to change it. That ultimately means war, whether next month, next year, or five years from now. The longer it is evaded by propitiation, the more costly it will be. Britain will not escape the consequences in the end, nor will we, nor will the EU countries.
