Does make one wonder why in the world this was not handled the way it should have been? Something smells very bad...

Consider what makes sense and what does not.

It does not make sense that Berger was "studying up" for his testimony and he would 'honestly' remove documents on 4 different days, thus risking throwing away his career and reputation.

It does not make sense that he would do this on his own prompting. There had to be someone else he was protecting.

It does not make sense that he would "inadvertently" cut some documents (evidence) and destroy National Security Documents.

It does not make sense that that the personel at the National Archives did not have protocol to handle just such an eventuality.

It does not make sense that the cochairmen of the 9-11 were apprised of this information and kept it from the other members, thus risking all 9-11 member reputation and report.

It does not make sense that a Republican administration with an appointed AG would not try to be clear on what exactly happened. It is almost as if they are afraid to do a proper and thorough examination of this caper.

It does not make sense that the Justice department, who took such pains to sacrifice Libby, would go for a smaller fish when the National Security Advisor to the PResident could have been had.
