Boehner pulls a Boner. Sadly, this is not new.
I don't know too much about him, other than being part of Hasterts leadership that didn't do enough leading. But If you see the video it looks like he was lit. His eyes looked like post martini breakfast eyes.
Yes, but he's got such a great tan ;-)
LOL
That's who the House GOP wanted to represent them. That's who they get.
Boner should have his rear end kicked around the block a few times.
Talk about "boners"? The author of this article doesn't know between a CMOH and a Congressional Gold Medal.
So...how should it be pronounced?? I've always heard it tusk ee' gee.
The dictionary said that was right.
I'm with you. I must be drunk because that's how I would pronounce it. I've never heard it pronounced any other way.
I think the writer is at best misconstruing the whole event. For example, attributing the applause at the end of the speech to the correction at the beginning.
But what I don't understand is how it is incorrect to pronounce that word the way it is spelled.
I come from Lancaster and a lot of people mispronounce it. It just means they're from out of town.
Methinks the writer is a bit of a drama queen.
Tu-skee-gee
Oh, and did you notice that the writer didn't actually provide a correct pronounciation.
I can think of worse things.
Oh, TU-skee-gee.
Anyone who insists that tus-KEE-gee is incorrect and, moreover that there's something wrong with someone who pronounces it that way, is nothing but a snotty elitist.
You'd have to see it. He stumbled on it a couple of times as well. It sounded worse than the article describes.
Oh, my.
The world will end because John Boehner can't pronounce a word.
Sheesh.
It is widely pronounced that way, even in Alabama, where it is located.
It's no big deal.
Alabama is pretty close to being the mispronunciation capitol of the country.
I lived there for nearly 20 years and have "heard it all".
Not a big deal, unless you are giving a speech in front of them, and stumble on it. At least mispronounce it consistently with ease
If this is what passes for news then what a sorry state we are in.
