From what I know about cats. Their diet needs to be 36% protein as apposed to dogs who only need less than 20% protein.

Pureed canned tuna fish and white rice in those proportions should be fine for a short term fix.

Not if the cats are males. Most male cats should avoid fish, even people fish, because of the high ash content. (Or so my vets have told me over the years.)

And, too many carbs can be very bad for a cats liver. My 14 year old girl has triad disease, and the vet said too many carbs are bad for her. I suggested the catkins diet. He laughed.
