You all very welcome! I have received alot of posts from the various threads I have initiated and am very happy to help sort out this mess as best as we all can.
I feel I have made many new friends and look forward to sharing our thoughts and concerns for as long as this whole debacle plays out.
Freepers are the best!
I am not Southern nor am I the Eternal Feerless Leader of the Enlightened North Korean People.
The fruits of "globalism".
If they can do this with pet food, it can happen with human food.
Here's one Chinese company listed on the FDA warning list:
Xuzhou Anying Biologic Technology Development Company Ltd.
Wangdian Industrial Zone,
Peixian, CN-32, China 221623
FEI# 2000023594
3/30/07 Wheat gluten
See FDA import ALERT at this link:

Thanks for the info. and bump!
Gee, should we tell folks some more truth?
The NAME brands are typically the SAME as the off brand. The name brand has the image issue and the advertising to pay where as the off brand doesn't have that and it is cheaper. Just look at the ingredients and you'll see who is the SAME as the named brand.
The same thing happens with other items ... clothing ... etc..
What I want to know is what kind of dog food is safe to buy.
I gotta buy another big bag and don't want to assume it's safe.
I'm actually surprised that HUMAN food is not tainted. We OUTSOURCE HUMAN food too!!!! China is cheap but obviously not real careful in what they put in the food. Be careful what YOU as a human eat - seriously. I don't trust the FDA as far as I could through a house. Remember all the prescription drugs withdrawn because of INPROPER testing that the FDA ALLOWED for human consumption? Specifically synthetic hormones for women - helps cause heart attacks, cancer and does NOTHING for those strong bones, then the Statins ... etc..
Heck the if the price is right the FDA will approve anything. The FDA has little credibility for human or animal food but I do see your point on how outrageous this is for animals. Geesh, if they don't know then don't say anything. If there COULD be a problem, then TELL pet owners - rather safe than sorry.
I HATE these command and control bureaucratic outfits that are incompetent.
I love my animals ... sometimes more than some people I know ... I treat them with love and respect and they RESPOND - unlike many people ... Animal cruelty drives me crazy - I can't stand to see the commercial looking for money to help animals that suffered cruelty. So wusp that I am, I send em a check.
I'd love to take them all home and love them. On the latest commerical, a pet had their eye gouged out and it's freshly sewn shut and another hasn't gotten a "new eye" yet - it's horrible what humans can do to domesticated animals. Kids, the elderly and animals - my heart really goes out to them - often they are defenseless and abused.
I just sent you a private e-mail too ...
I just switched to Purina Pro Plan for kittens - dry cat food, Friskies wet and Spa Select made by Blue. Are they on recall? I can't keep track of this stuff. I hope those brands are safe.
I may start making them food if they are.
I'm considering boiled chicken ad rice ... I have a Bengal who NEEDS more protein and an lovey orange cat. They are quite the pair! Love em!
"So, how much of this wheat gluten has been used as a human food additive???"
You may not want to know ... recall how the FDA QUICKLY approves prescription drugs and then they are taken off the market. DOn't trust the FDA.
Please ping me if there is more on this.
I appreciate your postings!
My husband loves them, too, and I can't stand them. It's almost painful to watch them, for me.

Is that the source in China, the one that Menu Foods and the FDA refuse to identify?
Of course not!
They can't rush it to market fast enough!
Living in New Jersey, pharm heaven ... they are HEMORAGING financially from lawsuits and products put on the market with insufficient testing. "Fast tracking" these products has only lead to more lawsuits. Pharms desperately need the money ... another reason why they advertise directly to the consumer ... .
If you have a link on the home brewed thread, could you post it?
As a treat I make my frisky little Bengal some boiled chicken -deboned. She LOVES it. Debbie also likes Talipia. I spoil that pretty thing silly. Thomas, our orange cat, is perfectly content with cat food.
