The Libs do NOT give a rats ass. To them, betrayal is success. THAT is their moral compass.

God bless the Kurds! They are an example to the entire world on the fine art of "hanging tough". Good for them!

The Kurds are Not the only people that fear our military's early departure,So do I.This is the Second time the democrat party has stabbed the U.S. military in the back.
When will the American people wake up and kick the SOB's out of power permenantly?

For much more on how the Kurds are taking freedom and running with it, go read
Michael Totten's blog.
The Kurds need and deserve the full measure of support that we Americans can give to them.

Hitlery will send Nancy over there to explain it to them and give them a great big hug and it will be OK. The MSM will tell us so.
To: SandRat
If the US exits from Iraq, but wants to protect the Kurds, it will be very difficult to do so without the cooperation of Turkey. The geography is difficult.

Can't blame the Kurds for worrying. The U.S. has a short attention span, thanks mostly to the Democrats and their enablers among Americans who vote.
I doubt whether Nancy Pelosi worries much about them.

There were more serious issues, such as a female American soldier using her foot to hold down a tribal leader. To regain his honor he had to go out and set off a bomb, Talabany said.
I'm sorry, but that cracked me up! ;)

If the U.S. leaves early and does not protect the Kurds, it will be the third time in a little more than three decades the ethnic group will have been betrayed by the United States...Three times in three decades? That's despicable, and that's one reason why we should not abandon them. We committed to this fight and to these good folks; betraying them a third time would go beyond morally repugnant.
But with the full commitment of American forces finally toppling Hussein in 2003, Kurds once again were willing to take a chance on America.
The Kurds sound like better allies than some of our so called "allies" in Eurabia.

FWIW, the two previous betrayals of the Kurds were under GOP administrations.

The Shiite Muslims have been oppressed for more than a 1,000 yearsNot continuously. Various Shiite regimes have controlled Iraq over this time, notably the Safavid dynasty.

Pakistan feels the same. We are unreliable allies. But Hitlery talks of repairing our image in the world by using tough love on them.
