Just because I haven't heard of a few fictional characters from television and movies (I did see Monty Python & the Holy Grail once...was funny, but I'v seen funnier.) suddenly makes my opinion about a presidential candidate null and void?

I'm referring to the roles they played, not the actors themselves. And frankly, I don't particularly care for most of Monty Python's work, nor had I ever heard of Milton Berle before now. What do you expect of someone born in 1988?
And frankly, I'm rather interested in whether or not you think that the events depicted in the Rudy/Trump video will be used against him at a later date. And the "Reagan with the Monkey" won't fly; the average Joe would look at Reagan feeding milk to a monkey and chuckle (or, if you're the average Jane, go "Awww, how cute.").
Now imagine the reaction of the same average Joe/Jane if they saw Rudy Giuliani, in drag, getting his "breasts" fondled. By Donald TRUMP of all people.
Well, rational people will realize it for what it is, comedy.
Irrational people will foam at the mouth over it and somehow say that it condones cross dressing and homosexuality. But irrational people are nuts anyway, and the only time anyone pays attention to them is when they are laughing at them.
Comedy varies for different people. Rationality or irrationality has nothing to do with it. If crossdressing makes one person chuckle, then there's another person who'll be turned off by it (like me, for instance. Tell jokes or do slapstick gags all you'd like. But crossdressing just looks tacky and tasteless. JMHO).
But I will say this: it would be highly irrational to assume that all of these images of a crossdressing Rudy won't come back to bite him.
For some reason, I don't believe the men I know would think it's that funny. I can't imagine them down at the hunting/fishing camp drinking a beer and laughing about Rudy in a dress. I could imagine them saying, that's just plain ole nasty.
I don't see the connection? Is the chimp in drag?
Don't tell me there are some naked Rooty photos?
Don't forget Benny Hill, Oliver Wendal Holmes (who was a member of the Hasty Pudding Theatrical Club at Harvard), and the entire cast of Monty Python's Flying Circus.
