Its funny we inspect fruits and plants that come in from other countries for flies and varmints that might take root here, but we let these people wade over with anything they may be carrying.

It is fairly likely that the Black Plague originated in Central America and spread to Europe and over to China. Wouldn't be a surprise for another disease to cook down there and come out into the world with virulence.

Too bad the 'green anti-DDT folks' do not LIVE where no-DDT would affect them. In fact, WHY did they get to call the shots on this? Surely the Public Health people don't think that no-DDT is a good solution.

Don't kid yourself it already is here. Along with a host of other things. Resurgent drug resistant TB. HEP-A outbreaks at fast food restaurants etc.
