"In our view, it is not the right time to have these sort of high- profile visitors to Syria," State Department spokesman Sean McCormack told reporters Friday.

Can't the State Department just say "no" to her trip? I don't understand this.

If the Dems want a confrontation....The President should have her arrested as well as her fellow companions for treason after their return. Put her bug eyed butt in jail.... and then declare martial law.....because our country is in grave danger from within. Clean those treasonous ba$tards out once and for all...as I used to tell my kids: Democracy....dream on...you're incredibly lucky to have a benevolent dictator providing for your well being!

I would think that the State Department should be able to prevent this.

Bush won't do it because they Democrats would say that he is being partisan. If Bush had cajones he would stop it.

He should not be like the Frenchie named Blair from Britain, the New France.
