U.S. ready to strike Iran in early April - intelligence source

..well then, what the h*ll are they telling us for... Don't you think if you had any sort of intelligence you would move your Russian contractors and builders out of harms way. Surely your nuclear scientist are worth more to you then to some crazy mullahs aren't they?.....oh yeah, I forgot Chernobyl

Don't you think if you had any sort of intelligence you would move your Russian contractors and builders out of harms way.

But that's exactly what they have been doing.

"VIENNA, Austria — Russia is bringing home its technicians and engineers from Iran’s unfinished nuclear reactor site at a time of growing international pressure on Iran to curb its atomic ambitions, U.S. and European representatives said Tuesday.

A large number of Russian technicians, engineers and other specialists were flown from Iran to Moscow within the last week...

Asked about the approximately 2,000 Russian workers at Bushehr, the U.S. official said, “A good number of them have left recently.” - 03/21/07

This timetable seems a little optimistic.

We should be contacting the Chinese, and suggesting that if they want to protect the flow of oil to CHINA, they had better be scrambling and getting into position to protect that supply line. In fact, we shall have to be vacating Iraq in a few months, and we can ferry in a number of troops from the People's Liberation Army, to simply substitute for the US troops who shall have to start coming home (as per the Dem'crats' funding mandate). We shall also have to leave a great deal of war material and equipment behind, as there shall be no funds to relocate them elsewhere, only the troops. The Chinese would be in place to watch our backs, as the US troops were rotated out. Within weeks, with careful attention to logistics, as many as a half-million members of the People's Liberation Army could be in place in and around Baghdad, and the US could capably continue to ferry in still more Chinese troops. In fact, a similar rotation could be carried out in Afghanistan, and ALL US troops could be out of the Middle East by fall 2007.

I seem to recall that the Rooskies did just that a couple of weeks ago under the guise that Iran wasn't paying them for work on the nuke plants.
