Rather than post on multiple threads, I just wanted to express my views, for anyone that cares to see them. So many of these things are topics I feel strongly about, and feel that many fellow FReepers are just flat out wrong or misinformed. For what it's worth, I'm hoping that this will have some influence on them.

Well, I prefer hemp shoes, cruelty-free meat and recycling, but I haven't yet felt the need to post a vanity lembasting others for not agreeing with my preferences...

I liked most of your 'soapbox' ... 8.5

Especially, when fellow FReepers get mean and nasty,
I know it's very cliche, but when you throw dirt, you lose ground.

Hope you feel better now !

It's good to hear the views of others on FR. I agree with you on a few of those points. I'm especially bothered/curious by folks who seem to think Hil is unelectable. I think she is and the chaos the dems have stirred up in certain areas (ie the skewering of Santorum in my area leading to his 'surprising' loss and the re-election of Gov Fast Eddie) seems to be helping her. I know it was probably skewed and quite likely propaganda given the station, but a TV station local to me had a 'survey'. Hillary had 35% support. The next highest dem had 17. Rudy had about 33%. Yes, making Hil a winner in an election setting. Entirely unreliable as a survey, but planting the idea in a huge dem/union region. I think Hil is beatable, but she is by no means unelectable.

Interesting summarization of your thoughts, but I seriously think that living in NYC has skewed your views on what a proper, conservative Republican is. Guiliani is NOT it.

In the meantime: Run Fred Run!!
