I'm sure he has no idea why anyone would find that offensive. He must be totally ignorant of American history as well as basic Christianity.

He's a journalist and liberal. Of course, he's ignorant of history and christianity along with nearly every other subject under the sun; sciolism is required of all journalists.
It brings a cynical thought to mind, some people no longer deserve to live in a free country.
